SOVVA is a non-government organization of nationwide competence established to promote R&D development in Slovakia by means of improving R&D capacities, bridging the academic and commercial areas while utilizing international experience and contacts.

 

Until now, there have been no organizations in Slovakia possessing capability and capacity to offer complex R&D services aimed at facilitating the operation of R&D organizations. Focused are mainly such activities of R&D institutions that are impossible to be performed by the R&D institute itself. At the same time, such activities are of utmost significance within the context of R&D funding through various new grant schemes. SOVVA provides assistance to R&D institutions in obtaining additional funds for research. SOVVA participates in the process of creating functional links with other social and economic areas in the country. Though this involves mainly universities and Slovak Academy of Sciences, our services are accessible for any organization specialized in R&D. All universities and the Slovak Academy of Sciences as a whole or its particular research institutions are welcome to participate.

 

We offer services in a whole range of activities that bear significant potential of helping R&D institutions to carry out their activities. This covers the following:

• provision and dissemination of R&D information and knowledge that support effective implementation of R&D results 
• R&D consulting and expertise
• monitoring, surveying, collecting and analyzing data, information and cognitions
• protection of intellectual property services
• advanced studies and lifelong learning for the sake of R&D
• activities supporting R&D infrastructure
• activities supporting international R&D cooperation
