Dear Friends,

We shall all agree that education together with research, development and innovations are fundamental for future progress of Slovakia. Naturally, it is not the sole enhancement of an individual area that matters. Of significant importance are sound mutual links resulting in synergic effect inevitable for true reflection of actual demands of social and economic aspects of the country.

To provide quality education and R&D means to adopt various measures. First and foremost this means to create suitable conditions facilitating the work of all directly involved in education and R&D processes. Slovak Organization for Research and Development Activities (Slovenská organizácia pre výskumné a vývojové aktivity – hereinafter referred to as “SOVVA”) was founded to provide R&D services helping R&D institutions to obtain additional competitive funds for their activities and to build functioning relations with other sectors of society and economy. SOVVA provides assistance in promoting the image and prestige of science in society by means of improving the conditions of R&D institutions through implementation of a whole range of intended activities.
